May 2007 Kuwait received Japanese PM visit for the first time |

From April 30 to May 1, Kuwait welcomed the first visit of Japanese Prime Minister since the diplomatic relations started. Members of the mission include many high-ranked officials such as Mr. Hakubun Shimomura, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary and Ms. Yuriko Koike, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister. On 30th, H.H. the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and H.H. PM Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met with H.E. Mr. Abe respectively and agreed on more development of the bilateral relation and broad ranging corporation not only in Oil. The Mission was accompanied by more than 150 businessmen, headed by Mr. Fujio Mitarai, Chairman of the Japan Business Federation (Nippon Keidanren). More development of the economic relations is highly expected. |
