National Assembly approved Shaikh Sabah as a new Amir of the State of Kuwait Kuwaiti National Assembly unanimously approved Prime Minister Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a new Amir of the State of Kuwait on January 29th. Shaikh Sabah took the oath at the parliament on the same day. After the death of Amir Shaikh Jaber, Crown Prince Shaikh Saad was appointed to the new Amir, however, because of his health condition, National Assembly decided the abdication of Shaikh Saad on 24th.
