Notice regarding the State of Emergency in Japan

To All Kuwaiti citizens in Japan

State of Emergency, which targets Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa, Saitama, Osaka, Hyogo, and Fukuoka, was declared by the Prime Minister Sinzo Abe over the coronavirus outbreak in Japan. Residents of the above 7 prefectures will be asked to stay home and avoid nonessential and non-urgent outings until at least May 6, 2020. Basic infrastructure — electricity, water supply and gas — as well as businesses such as supermarkets, convenience stores, drugstores, banks, post offices and public transportation, will stay in business even during the State of Emergency period.

The Embassy would like to urge all of you to stay home and avoid contact with each other to reduce infection as much as possible, and always pay attention to your local government’s announcement and follow their instruction well. For more details of each local government’s instruction, please refer their website.
