H.E. Ambassador Al-Otaibi meets H.E. Mr. Tanigaki, President of the LDP

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Japan H.E. Mr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Otaibi paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Sadalazu Tanigaki, President of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and Mr. Yasufumi Tanahashi, Director-General, International Bureau of the LDP. At the outset, H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi informed H.E. Mr. Tanigaki about the recent developments of bilateral relation between Japan and Kuwait including the recently sealed agreements such as the avoidance of double taxation on February and the MOC for the peaceful use of nuclear power on September respectively in 2010. In response, H.E. Mr. Tanigaki showed his gratitude to hear the remarkable agreements between the two countries particularly the sealed tax agreement as he once served as Minister of Finance between 2003 and 2006. Their Excellencies also exchanged their views on the ways of further cooperation between the two countries and expressed their appreciation for having a meeting individually prior to a dinner on the same day hosted by H.E. Mr. Tanigaki, of which other Arab Ambassadors were amongst the guests. H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi also attended Yomiuri International Economic Society (YIES) of which H.E. Mr. Tanigaki was the guest speaker of ‘Strategies of LDP for Japan’s Tomorrow’ on October 25, 2010.
